Welcome to The Toronto Barre Collective. This pandemic has taught me a lot. But one of the most important lessons I learned along the way is how much value there is  within your communities. We all are a part of a community… the question is how do we engage within that community?

Through the love of barre fitness and the dedication to our incredible group of instructors, our community chose to continue on with us as we weather this pandemic, a business closure and the evolution of BCTO. We’re here because of our clients worldwide, from Montreal to BC, the UK and back to Toronto. A community that embraced virtual classes at a time when the world asked us to move most of our engagements online. SO MUCH screen time! But through this very technology, we managed to stay connected. We found strength through our community and the courage to build and engage in a new one.

The Bloor West Village had really become a favourite place to walk to during the Toronto lockdown period. There is an energy, it felt “normal” to grab some groceries and a coffee and escape the walls of our nest. Giving back and getting to know members of this community is exciting for me! I was immediately embraced by our neighbour at Le Petite École and the BIA has really made BCTO feel so welcomed. I am quickly learning how many community members are familiar with our new space and their willingness to support and check us out!

I have been blessed by my community in so many ways. So many people have offered themselves and their resources in ways I couldn’t have even imagined. My family, neighbours, friends, teachers… all working and sharing their energy to contribute to the growth of building our BCTO community. This Instructing team has shown up for BCTO over and over again. It’s not a person's accomplishments that make them great, it’s who they surround themselves with. This team, The BCTO Family are the epitome of community.

Community makes the difference in sticking around or moving along. As we look to our community and the leaders of our communities to help us navigate our discomforts, there is a connectedness to the people that show up for you, especially in times when you find it difficult to show up for yourself. We hope you see yourself in our community… we hope you see the representation, you feel our passion and you want to engage. The Toronto Barre Collective is a place where community and gather to safely navigate their health and wellness goals with support and comfort. Using a mindful physical movement approach, we aim to create connection and transform the understanding of what it can mean to be in good health. Welcome to The Toronto Barre Collective.

Breathe. Love. Inspire.
